Basketry

A keen environmentalist, what Erica loves about willow is that she can grow it in her own garden in Woolton Hill, and this willow can be used to make both beautiful and useful items.
These pieces can have no travel involved, they enhance the environment they are placed in, they can last a lifetime, and are often given as gifts to mark special events in peoples lives: from births to marriages and ultimately deaths, but many other occasions in between.

Erica studied Visual Art at Southampton before specialising in basketry, completing a City and Guilds course in 2017. She uses traditional techniques, making various baskets and seasonal items.
Erica works to commission and teaches. She particularly likes repairing or replacing much loved willow baskets.
