Bobbin Lace Jewellery & Art

I combine the traditional skills of bobbin lace making with copper wire to make distinctive and unique jewellery and lace art. I am inspired by the patterns of nature, the transient and ever-changing natural world and the rich heritage of lace.

Bobbin lace making has been my passion for most of my life. In 2016 I attended a wire lace workshop, which sparked my interest in making lace with wire, through this I have discovered a world of possibilities and a new level of creativity.
I love that with wire you can create something beautiful and three dimensional from something flat. I enjoy exploring and using the intricate patterns found in bobbin lace in my lace art and pushing the boundaries of my lacemaking to show that it is not a forgotten craft. I want to share how beautiful lace still is and how it’s possible to make beautiful, contemporary pieces that bring joy to those who wear or see them.
