During the coronavirus lockdown, I’ve been inspired to create a Lily for Italy - a piece of art featuring 3D lilies, the national flower of Italy and a background inspired by the gold and silver lace collection in the Gandino Museum, Bergamo. The regions of Bergamo and Lombardy in Northern Italy have been hit really hard by the virus so I felt it would be a fitting tribute to use the precious lace in this collection to inspire my piece.
